From The Inside Out

During a recent game, my son shot a three-pointer from the corner and missed.  His coach did not get upset or pull him out of the game.  Instead, he reminded Strick of ‘how we play the game.’

I carried Coach’s words home with me and did a game-life comparison which led me to this blog.  I even sort of, weaved his words into my evolving perspective on life.

I recognize that the people who I mostly admire, all live by Coach’s words.  They are driven by their values and not by the opinion of others.  They are intuitive, resourceful and creative.  Hard working.  And they appreciate what they have, not taking anything for granted.

I’m not completely there yet.  But when I heard Coach say, “Strick, we play from the inside out,” I was reminded that I am surely on my way.
